There's a certain openness that comes with the arrival of spring. As the weather allows us to spend more time outside, we feel the weight of winter lift off and float away. Our wardrobes open up in many of the same ways. Winter weather has a way of focusing our choices on only the most practical things, but with the arrival of spring practicality gives way to self expressiveness.
In spring, our clothing and footwear doesn't depend as much on protecting us from moisture or adverse conditions. We're able to match our personal style more to our mood rather than the weather. This is what makes spring such a delightful time of the year. As the natural world comes alive, so too does our sense of style and self expression. It's an optimistic time where everything seems new and there's hope of the good days ahead of us.
This spring Crockett & Jones is feeling that sense of renewal with a new collection of fresh footwear for the warmer months. Building off of the success of last year’s Unstructured Collection, there are expanded offerings crafted with the brand's exclusive SUPERFLEX sole, the most flexible leather sole available on the market today. Each style has been crafted to provide the necessary flexibility, breathability and comfort for the warmer summer months. The collection utilizes the highest quality leathers which are made with substance that will hold up to years of wear with ease.
Brand new styles for the collection include: Southport, an unstructured inter-laced loafer, Finchley 2, the first horse-bit loafer in the company’s history and Epsom, an unlined Chelsea boot in Khaki Suede, the only light colored Chelsea boot in the collection.
Rounding out the collection are two brand new loafer colorways: Earth Green Suede for unstructured penny loafer, Seaton, and Ocean Suede for unstructured plain front loafer, Salcombe.
While autumn dressing is enjoyable, nothing compares to the excitement that comes with the first days of spring. The world is ready for a few easy warm summer days. Who among us hasn’t earned a day outside in a new pair of Crockett & Jones loafers? After the past few years I think it's safe to say we all deserve that much at least.
