Stephen has been on the men's style patch for over a decade, and worked in luxury magazines for 15 years. He's an obsessive for craftsmanship and geeks out over small details, which is why he's most at home watching how things are made on the factory floor, from the mills of northern Italy to the shoemakers of Northampton, hence his love of Crockett & Jones. His favourite footwear is evening slippers, of which he has a collection running to around 50.
Favourite journalist: Impossible to pick just one, but AA Gill, Andre Leon Talley and my esteemed colleague, the peerless Mick Brown. I'm also a fan of a Grace Dent column.
Favourite author: Donna Tartt. I could read The Secret History year on year. More recently, it's Douglas Stuart for his astounding debut novel Shuggie Bain. I challenge anyone not to be staggered by it.
